chapter 7

She flicked her eyes up to his, nervous he wasn't at the same thought of loving her too. He didnt make a sound instead just held her and his eyes weren't opened. If he wasn't standing she could've thought he unconscious till he gave her hands a soft squeeze, and she met his icy blue eyes as he pressed his forehead to hers. "You don't know how many times I'd wish this would happen, and thats what you'd say" He breathed and she swallowed "S-so, it' not to soon to say you love, me or I love you?" She rambled on and he shushed her with his finger and made a simple 'shhh' sound and had a sideways smile. "Maybe, but It's nice to you care, like I have for years" He said and she nodded as he caressed her face and moved her hair behind her ear. "And thats all I need" He added titling her head pressing his lips to hers again, it was soft and sweet for a moment till she tangled her hand in his hair and pulled him close and getting onto her toes, and he let out a breathless laugh in between, before kissing her again.

Her heart skidded as he had her agianst the wall and all she could think is how perfect it felt. But she didnt ever think anyone would catch them. His hands where on either side of her and he pulled back only to hear something drop and his name rang from the hall. He tensed and Jades eyes moved over to Carry, she had her arms crossed as she came toward them. She tapped her foot as if thinking he'd speak, and Jade recalled their two month dating period, last year. She always wantd him back, but tried to cover it up by sneaking around with other guys. She was the deffiniton of slut, she wore skimpy and short dresses with high heels and crazy make up with her little promises she'd get you with. Luke had now pulled away completely from Jade and stood in front of her, he was tensed and she glared. "Wow, i always thought you'd come crawling back..." she began and her eyes narrowed. "I thought our little meetup last week surley seeled the deal."She smirked and Jade just stared at his back, what does she mean, meet up? Many scenarios came through her mind, but she didn't want them there. Carry placed a smile on her face and slipped close up to him pressing her body to him and trailing her hand down his cheek. "Do you think she loves you? Or what she can get from you? Hmm?" She whispered loud enough for Jade to hear, and she stepped forward but Luke pushed her off. Carry stepped back a bit from his shove. "One" He began "We never had a meet up, Im not your little toy, and two even if she doesn't love me like she says, I wont give up" He hissed an clarry groaned "What, yes we did!" She started fuming "remember this?" She smirked and stepped up to him crushing her lips to his but he pulled away and pushed her down now. "That never happened, and now that it did, I never won't to see you again, back off" He hissed and she got up glowering "You'll want me, when you get tired of her" Was all she said dissaparing around the corner.

He turned around and Jade stood nervously, what was true and what wasn't? "Jade I-" He began and she stopped him. "Luke, what is she talking about?" She said sternly and He shook his head. "I promise that never happened, she's trying to split us up" He said truthfully and she nodded hesitantly "But were not dating." She pointed out and he looked to her. "I wish we were" He smiled and she laughed softly "Well you never asked..." He smirked and walked over to pin her to the wall lingering his head over hers, his hand tangled in her hair and her breath hitched giving him the pleasure of a smile as he pulled her close. "Well, the one and only bueatiful Jade, will you go out with me." He replied and she didnt respond. "Well.." She began and shrugged. "I'll think about it" She teased slipping from his grasp and headed down the hall, but as she went around the corner she said "Yeah, why not" With a laugh.

Waking up she breathed in and soon regretted thatas she shot up and ran to the shower. Turning it on she stripped and got in, as the water ran over her she could steal feel Luke holding her and her heart skipped a beat as she couldnt stop smiling, but it felt strange too. Washing her hair she rinsed out the shampoo and then put in conditioner, and so it could soak in she shaved then rinsed that out. Brushing her hair out she dried it and straightened it before pulling it back into a bun. "And now to the clothes!" she said to herself. It was black skinny jeans, with already holes. A black vest and under it was a dark gray and red striped sleeveless. She pulled on combat boots, but they were tall and tied a black bandana around her head. running out the door, she met up in the autotrium where her sister ran up to her.

"ok, to start im So happy for you, but Im freaking out, I dont know what to do!" She blurted out pulling Jade to sit with her. "Like I'm supposed to put yall through training or clases? I- dont know" She rambled and Jade placed a hand on her shoulder. "How about we do twenty students in four classes, and Five into combat training. A group effort" She said and Skylar nodded.

Figuring it out, they both listed out a few names for the groups and she made sure she was with Luke, and got him in combat with her, but sadly Skylar insisted Carry was in there too. the students where instructed and Skylar took the other five, for training seperatly. They went down the seprate hall to find an areana to train in, and settled on a large one. Skylar pulled Jade aside "Um... what do yall train with, or against?" Jade grinned "Demons, and weapons, and uh.. Flick he." She grinned how would this work? "Flick had the gift to raise the dead, I... Dont. What if we have practice against eachother, but no actual harm?" Jade nodded "Yeah that works."

Skylar had gathered the few students and everyone had chosen a weapon, Jade had a large sword and two small knives. Where as Luke had as many sorts of knives and what not, he could hold, he did know we couldnt actually hurt eachother? Skylar explained the whole issue of that, they would not be attacking demons instead we'd train with eachother, but Jade's stomach had sunk as she kept getting deathly glares from carry, is this girl mental? Skylar excused herelf and everyone began and Jade was right, Carry is insane! Cause withen seconds Jade had to run, but yet keep her back from being stabbed by Carry. She turned and pulled herslf onto one of the obtacles and watched as Carry made her way up on it too. She swung out at Jade but Jade returned it with a block and pushed Carry back some. She had to respect her sister's rule of no harm, but with the small obstacle and her anger toward Carry it was hard. Carry came at her again throwing a small knife that skimmed Jade's neck and left the smallest of a cut, but it burned. "What the hell happened to no harm?" Hissed Jade as she lunged forward swinging at Carry but in a split scond Carry ducked and caugt her off guard pinning her down with a heel that dug into her chest. Carry grinned "Breakup with him and I wont kill you or atleast hurt you." She stated as if it was so simple. "Nonsense!" Snapped Jade pulling from her grasp and pushed her back, but for a second guilt consumed her as Carry tumbled back off the obstacle. Why did she feel bad she didn't know but she climbed over to see her stagger up. But what scared her more, is behind the prop, no one could see them, Carry took advantage of that and lunged forward pinning her to the wall a knife below her throat. with her other hand she squeezed Jades wrist forcng the sword to all and clatter as Carry pressed the knife harder and Jades breath hitched. "Carry don't" She whispered nervous of what was going through her mind. "You heard my deal, and your patheticly weak!" She hissed And Jade glared a her and tried to pull away but Clarry had a good grip. "Weak, please?" I dont have a fair game" She said and knocked Carry of her as she reached to get the sword swinging it but as soon as Clarry had lunged hers. They hit with a loud sound and they both stepped back some, their eyes shooting daggers. "Give up!" Hissed clarry Throwing another knife which thankfully missed as Jade switched around her and kept her ground. "Never, not this time" She breathed and withen seconds Carry came forward the sword coming right at her but it passed by her and Jadeshand swung forward connecting to Carry's chest and Carry froze, not like ice, but she was still, hard as stone. Jade stepped back holding her wrist to her chest scared, shaking her head, not again. Carry stood still the sword out in front of her and her body positioned for the strike,bit was horrific, was she alive? Jade stepped back to her and slowly reached out and felt her arm it was cold. Did she kill her? Jades body grew weak and she stepped back before tripping and slipped back against the wall falling to her knees. she couldnt have, her eyes began to water as she cried softly, out of fear, the academy would never forgive her. Her hand was numb and she hugged her knees to her chest. Looking down she shaked her head, her whole body was in shock as it had little shakes. Denial. She looked back up and Carry's eyes seemed to be lightened. She was going to get up but Joinie and caleb came around and seconds after Luke and skylar. Luke came to Jades side. "It happened again, didnt it?" He asked and she nodded feebly "Luke, I-I cant controll it, w-what if she never come back." She choked out and he pulled her close "She will, it's temporary, but we need to figure it out. twice its happened because of fear." Jade nodded and slowly got up and looked over to Carry. She reached up slowly and this time Carry's whole body trembled and she dropped the sword. Her eye shot Jades. "I hate you" She spat and turned leaving the room just like that. Jade looked down shaking her head, but it hurt due to he scratches on her neck from Carry. "Did she do this?" Luke asked holding her arms and jade didnt respond "Jade! did she?" He asked shaking her and she sniffed and met his eyes "Yes, ok she did!" She snapped pulling away and running out of the room. She saw a bathroom and ws shocked when she saw her self, her face was covered in scratches, a few on her arms and blood soaked on her neck. turning on the fuacet she rinsed some paper towels and pressed it to he cut, the held a dry one on her neck. Coming out of the bathroom she was met by Sylar "What happened?" She asked and Jade shook her head "I-I dont know, Ive done i twice, top time, she would've killed me if I didnt" She said and Skylar stared dully. "What are we going to do with her?" Shrugging Jade looked to where Carry had fled Let her be for now, "she's jealous, she'll get over it. I hope"

"I'm gonna hurt her" It was the third time Luke had said it when they when back to the building, everyone was excused for the day and she hadn't seen Carry thank fully. "Luke we both know that won't help." she sighed and laid back on her bed he was pacing and shook his head laughing, almost like he was insane "I can't stand her, what was I thinking last year?" he groaned and Jade rolled her eyes laughing "Stop rambling, you sound like a girl." She teased and he jumped over to the bed. "Well, than I'm one handsome girl" He said with a wink and she rolled her eyes "You can keep telling yourself that." She teased and got up "You know you agree" He said from behind and she shrugged. "Mmm maybe" She smiled and left to her dorm.

"Hey, tomorrow I heard where getting a new student, he's seventeen like us!" Abigail chirped "I bet he's cute!" She went on and Jade groaned, as she filled her plate to go and eat "Yeah, I feel bad for him" Jade grinned and Abigail frowned "Whatever". Sitting down she began to eat and watched as a bunch of students ran over to the door. I guess he came early.
